A one-time consultation
A few sessions to help you through a situation
A more structured, longer term intervention (e.g. for clinical conditions such as depression or anxiety)
Addressing mental and medical functioning compromised as the result of accident, illness, trauma, addiction, abuse, or mental illness.
The difficulties that I treat include (but are not limited to) anxiety, insomnia, depression, relationship issues, loss, behavior issues, worries about the future, significant change in circumstances, chronic pain, disability, emotional issues, childhood issues, exploitation, abuse, codependency, trauma, employment issues, addictions, and behaviour issues.
It is my experience that people in difficulty benefit from straightforward but gentle and respectful feedback from an independent and experienced perspective. Treatment is a holistic process that encourages your active participation. We will discuss the factors that contributed to your current circumstances and practical strategies for bringing both short-term relief and long-term change through personal growth. Our goal will be to put you back in control of your life as soon as possible. Therapy is about growing, and it is my goal that you have opportunities in treatment to learn knowledge and skills to better manage life problems. I truly enjoy my work and believe that it is a privilege to enter your life, if only for a short time. My treatment approach is practical and results-oriented.
I do not conduct psychological assessments.
I do not treat Autism Spectrum Disorder.
My roster for WSIB clients is full, and I am not able to accept additional clients for services funded by WSIB.
It is my mission to help people recover from mental health difficulties and get on the road to health and well-being. I do not take clients on who are engaged in legal disputes regarding injury or disability compensation. I find that after legal cases are settled clients are better able to engage in the process of getting better. I would be happy to consider you as a client after your legal case has concluded.
My fee is $225 per 50-minute hour, and payment is due at the end of each session. I accept credit cards, debit, cheque, or cash. I do not bill third parties but provide a statement for my services that you can to submit to your insurance company.
